Taeko Nomiya

たえこ 野宮

小さい頃の思い出 {Childhood Memories}

Since Taeko was the only one of the three photographers who visited Japan repeatedly as a child, the common theme for her pictures in the exhibition was to create postcards of her memories. Tokyo really lends itself to that because, even though many areas look very modern, they looked like that over thirty years ago and haven’t changed much. That factor, combined with her love for double exposures, makes her pictures look like memories that came back in a dream.
