More than an exhibition, Nippon América 日本アメリカ is a social experiment that relies on Japan as a case study to explore a way to break the barriers imposed by prejudice and othering.

Three nikkei photographers traveled to Tokyo under the premise that, being simultaneously Latin American and Japanese, they might approach Japan with a familiar, but fresh, approach, and that might unveil a Japan that we haven’t seen before.

In anticipation of being able to open the museum after the COVID-19 health emergency, the map on the front page shows sites in Tokyo where our photographers took some of the pictures in the exhibition.
