Luis Okamoto | Los pueblos del sol
The People of the Sun
Okamoto noticed details such as the asymmetrical stones in the walls of Tokyo’s Imperial Palace and those of Machu Picchu, the open ditches you find everywhere in Inca towns and in Japan and made visual notes of the similarities.
He says that countries also have a soul, and that two seemingly remote and disconnected countries can be kindred souls. For him, Peru before the contact with Europe and Japan have a shared sensitivity, they perceive and explain the world in the same way, and he submits his visual notes as evidence.
